 Ringing In The Ears (Tinnitus)

How Does This Happen?

This happens when the jaw is forced violently open, as the head and neck are pushed over the back of the seat. Injury to the jaw joint causes ringing in the ears. Ringing in the ears may also be a side effect of anti-inflammatory drugs, neck, inner ear damage, or concussion.

What Can I Do To Help Myself?

Often times gently rubbing the jaw joint and surrounding tissue with ice can relieve ringing in the ears.

It's Still Bothering Me Now What?

Our center specializes in a technique that gently realigns the jaw and neck joints and helps with ringing in the ears. If this symptom is due to taking too many pills, the care that we provide often eliminates the need for drugs and their side effects. Initially, ice is usually recommended. Ice 5 – 20 minutes, three times per day

Please note ice should never be applied directly to the skin.
